Alabama state law for x-ray film and other medical records retention period.Hospitals in Alabama must keep medical records for at least 5 years. Doctors are advised to keep your medical record for at least 10 years. That adult's medical records will be kept for 5-7 years The AL state also requires that minor's medical records will be kept until the minor becomes 19 years old.
