Maryland state law for x-ray film and other medical records retention period.Maryland health care providers must keep x ray films and medical records at least 5 years after the date you received last treatment. for minors the health care provider must keep x ray film and medical record until the age of 21. That adult's medical records will be kept for 5-7 years The MD state also requires that minor's medical records will be kept until the minor becomes 19 years old.
